Ben Stookesberry: “We’re at the top of Margherita Peak, the highest point in the Ruwenzori Mountains—the fabled Mountains of the Moon and the third highest peak in Africa at 16,700 some-odd-feet. The weather was absolutely not kind to us, although it certainly could have been worse…. A lot of glacier work, some mixed terrain toward the end, a big sketchy ladder-way down onto another glacier, but a pretty incredible experience up here … the very tip-top of the Nile River basin.”
