Two weeks ago, we published the first episode in season two of our Insider’s Guide series. Eddie Bauer guide and local Taos celebrity Dave Hahn gave us a first-person look into what makes his off-the-beaten path hometown such a unique place and such a powerful vortex. In episode two of our series, Hahn explores the artistic influence of Taos, heads out for a hike up Wheeler Peak and caps it all off with some farm-to-table food and Bavarian drink in the place he calls home.

Taos, New Mexico is powerful vortex between the high desert and the Sangre de Cristos that has drawn wave after wave of artists, hippies, mountain men and, of course, skiers. For Eddie Bauer guide and 15-time Everest summiter Dave Hahn, it’s where he lands to decompress, reconnect, train and work his second job as a ski patroller. When we picked Taos for our second season of the Insider’s Guide, Hahn offered to show us around. Over the course of a week he provided us with his personal tour, which included a few scenic hikes, a little low-tide rafting, some local culinary gems, a bonfire party at his house and an invitation to stick around when he hit the road again. We captured it all for season two of our Insider’s Guide series and this is your window on Hahn’s hometown.
Thanks to all the folks in Taos, New Mexico that made this series possible, including Dave Hahn and Adriana Blake.
